Kawuku house church group today

Dickens has been faithful, and was recently commissioned to go out from the mother church to begin a Sunday Celebration service in an area that had had a small house church group meeting for almost two years.
Some days he has no extra coins in his pocket, so he walks about almost hour from his home to where the church meets because he is dedicated to serving the Lord and the small group of believers there. He's beating the drum beat during worship before giving the message.

Rose has been coming to a women's discipleship group I have been leading. Today, we went on a practicum! I took 2 of the ladies in my group to the house church in Kawuku where Dickens is pastor. Rose shared her testimony with the mostly women gathered under papyrus reed mats to protect us from the sun.

What's so funny? They loved my Luganda greetings and attempts at my Luganda language introduction of myself.

This is the view from my wooden bench (that was about to collapse at any moment...) to the home beside the fellowship structure.

Some British friends have been working on a project to complete a Children's Bible complete with traditional artwork. We were able to use Special Gift monies to purchase a good number of these Bibles, and are excited to use their storying set to young and old alike! Thank you for giving so that Bibles can get to the hands of those hungry to hear the message!
